LAKE TAHOE, CALIFORNIA

Hey!

So after our few days exploring Death Valley, we drove 6 hours so Lake Tahoe. The drive took us through the beautiful mountains, the desert, and through a few snow storms (I won't lie, this was pretty terrifying). We went through Lee Vining, Mono Lake, Inyo National Forest, Yosemite and so many little towns. When we got to Lake Tahoe we were so blown away by it. It was very surreal being on the beach whilst it was snowing, all of the locals said it was very unusual for it to snow in September.

We stayed at Postmarc Hotel and Spa Suites in a lovely room which the biggest love heart shaped jacuzzi bath! The staff are super friendly and they gave us some vouchers for some local restaurants. I had the best Mac n Cheese at MacDuff's Pub and the best Carbonara at Primo's Italian Bistro, so if you are in the Lake Tahoe area and fancy some pasta then definitely check out these restaurants! In case you didn't know we are totally obsessed with the Cheesecake Factory - not for the cheesecake, for the pastas, mac n cheese burgers and bread - but the closest one to Lake Tahoe was over an hour away so of course we drove there for dinner one day... How could we not haha!

The highlight of Lake Tahoe for me was definitely going to Sand Harbour. It it one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!

After spending a few days in Lake Tahoe, we drove 4 and a half hours back to San Fran, we met up with Sam's family at the airport as they were on their connection from Hawaii - London, then we caught our flight to Seattle!

Sophie :)
